Fixed Income

Fixed Income market is a financial market where participants buy and sell debt securities usually in the form of the bond. Issuers of this securities are generally Central Govt, State Govt, Corporate etc.
These securities have generally periodic interest flows and are redeemed at par on the maturity.

What is Repo and Reverse Repo?

Repos, short for repurchase agreements, are contracts for the sale and future repurchase of a financial asset, most often Treasury securities.

The sale and repurchase is a “repo” , whereas a purchase and sell back is a “ reverse repo”.
